Mitchell Suarez is the Chair for the Competitiveness Crisis Council. The Competitiveness Crisis Council is a coalition of corporations, educators and Hispanic engineering organizations dedicated to building a pipeline of qualified technical talent in the United States.
Mitchell works as the Director of Development for X1 Technologies (www.x1.com). X1 Technologies is a leader in enterprise desktop search solutions headquartered in Pasadena, California. As director of development, Mitchell is responsible for the technical development of the X1 desktop client product line.
Mitchell received a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering at Iowa State University and a M.S. in Mechanical Engineering at the University of California, Berkeley. He started his career with Hewlett Packard as a software engineer in 1996, developing software systems for the company s Computer Organization.
Mitchell has been an active member in the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers for the past 15 years where he has held various leadership positions.
