William was born in Los Angeles, California, and named Guillermo Jorge Izabal (both parents are immigrants from Mexico).  When William started school, his teacher translated his name to English, hence, William George Izabal.  Bill attended Loyola University of Los Angeles and graduated with a BBA in Industrial Relations.  Later he obtained his Juris Doctor (JD) from Mid Valley College of Law.  During Bill's career with TRW he received his MA in Human Resources Development from George Washington University.  In 1995, Bill joined Rockwell Space Systems Division as Vice President of Human Resources & Communications.  Boeing acquired Rockwell and Bill later became the Division Director of People for The Boeing Company, BMC3   Strategic Systems in December 1998.  In 2002, Bill was appointed the Human Resources Director for Air Force Systems, IDS.  Most recently, Bill was named the Director of Human Resources for Boeing's Advanced Systems organization.


Previously Bill worked 17 years for TRW as Personnel Manager for TRW Washington DC operations, Director of Affirmative Action and Diversity for TRW Space & Communications Group, and Director of Human Resources for TRW - ESL in the Silicon Valley.


In 1992, Bill was awarded the Employment Management's Association prestigious Pericles Pro Meritus Award for outstanding contribution to the field of Human Resources.  Bill received the National Management Association (NMA) Silver Knight Manager of the Year Award in 1997 and the Mexican-American Engineering Society Recognition Award for 1990 and 1997.  A highlight in Bill's career was being invited to the White House by the Secretary of Labor (Robert Reich) to help design the Federal Reemployment Act of 1994.  In 2001, Bill was nominated for the "Diversity" category of the Hispanic Engineer National Achievement Awards Conference (HENAAC).  HENAAC is an annual event where companies from around the country nominate Hispanic employees to compete for a variety of prestigious awards honoring excellence in Science, Engineering and Technology.


Bill is married to Judy, and he has two daughters.  Daughter Lori is a medical doctor and daughter Julie is a high school math and science teacher.  Bill has four grandchildren, two grandsons (Alejandro and Roberto) and two granddaughters (Emma and Victoria).  Bill enjoys spending time with his family, is actively involved in politics, and volunteers in community service organizations to help the Latino community.  Bill recently completed a two-year service role as the Chairman of the Board for The Mexican-American Opportunity Foundation (MAOF) from 2001 thru 2003, and continues to serve on the MAOF Board as Chair of the Personnel/Compensation Committee.
